Twin Lakes Elopement: T&T

I was so excited when Theresa & Tim came to me at the end of last year asking me to document their Colorado elopement this spring. Their plan was to start the day signing their marriage certificate, take some photos around RiNo and then a sunset elopement at a mountain location near Denver, but the unfortunate happening of the pandemic surging and closing down everything collided right with the date we’d had set for them for months. Despite nearly everything getting shut down, they decided they still wanted to go through with the elopement, but for it to instead be a Twin Lakes elopement, a location that is meaningful to them. We started with their first look at a location near where they go camping at every summer, then they exchanged vows down on the frozen lake. It was a little chilly (probably close to 30º!) but the energy of the moment kept us mostly warm (or warm enough) through it all! I was happy to still be able to photograph this special day for them, and can’t wait to celebrate more with all their friends and family at their reception in 2021!
